Support Food + Beverage Workers Affected by the Texas Hill Country Floods

Our hearts are with everyone in the Texas Hill Country.

Southern Smoke Foundation provides financial relief once immediate rescue efforts have ended and recovery begins, positioning ourselves as a second-phase responder in the long-term disaster relief process.

We have committed $150,000 in initial funding to start this effort and are ready to provide additional support through further funding as needed. Our partners at Sysco have generously offered to match $15K in any additional donations so we can maximize our impact in the area.

We will launch a dedicated emergency relief application for the Texas Hill Country on August 15, giving F+B workers who were affected by this tragedy time to process and assess their needs. If funding is needed for funeral costs or urgent medical needs, we encourage those F+B workers to apply via our existing emergency relief application now.

Southern Smoke is accepting applications now for our Behind You program, offering no-cost counseling to food and beverage workers. Learn more about eligibility and apply here

Telehealth services will be available starting mid-August based on availability. We encourage all eligible F+B workers in Texas to sign up now so that they're ready to begin as spots become available.
